Insight Into the Past Exhibit

Maryville College has a longstanding history of serving its students and community. 100 years ago students spent the majority of their time throughout the year on the Maryville College campus. Here they participated in clubs and organizations and served their community; these campus activities were the primary outlet for extracurricular activities in the early 20th century. Clubs and campus organizations were a gateway for college community life and, in this exhibit, they will be explored and highlighted. As you will see, the social life of Maryville College a century ago consisted of a close-knit community focused on academic and Christian associations.
