Instructions for Accessing Resources from Off-Campus

Maryville College uses OpenAthens to authenticate access to resources. This secures our campus resources and ensures compliance with our licensing agreements.

At Maryville College, there are several ways you might be asked to log in to an authenticated resource:

1. From http://library.maryvillecollege.edu/az.php

2. From Full Text Finder

3. From MC Quest (JSTOR, for example)

4. From an individual publisher's page (BioOne, JSTOR, or Wiley Online Library, for example). On an individual publisher's web site, look for an option to sign in with your institution, then choose the "OpenAthens" and "Maryville College" options, if available.

In all cases above, you may see a temporary re-direct with the URL "go.openathens.net." This is part of the "OpenAthens" authentication process used to confirm Maryville College community members have access to a linked resource.

When you see the screen shown below, please enter your user name (full e-mail address) and associated Maryville College password.  The password is the same password used to log in to your computer.
