Georgia McNabb Robbins was a sophomore at the college when she fell ill with the Spanish Flu somewhere around late January and early February of 1920. With the illness weakening her immune system, this caused her to contract measles, which turned to typhoid fever and dysentery. She would pass away after five weeks of illness on March 9, 1920, while attempting to recover off campus at her sister’s house and was only 17 years old.
