Alumni, Faculty, and Staff Publications

Alumni, Faculty, and Staff Publications

Introduction

For nearly two centuries, Maryville College alumni, faculty, and staff have demonstrated their passion, intelligence, imagination, and creativity through their published works. The earliest known publication by an alumnus is the 1832 novel Woodville, or the Anchoret Reclaimed by Charles William Todd who graduated from Southern and Western Theological Seminary (now Maryville College) in 1828. This work is considered to be the first novel published in the state of Tennessee.

Celebrating this long tradition of excellence, this LibGuide introduces the alumni, faculty, and staff publications currently in our library collections. It is not yet a complete list as we are continuing to identify and add works to this guide. If you know of a publication that is missing from this list, see "Contact Information" below.

Use the tabs on the upper left to navigate to Alumni Publications and Faculty/Staff Publications. Under each tab, publications are organized alphabetically by author's last name.
