How to Check Out Books at the Library Service Desk

• Find your books
  Select the books you’d like to borrow and bring them to the Library Service Desk.

• Show your Maryville College ID
  You must have a current Maryville College ID to check out materials.

• Check out
  A librarian will check out the books for you and let you know the due date. You’ll also receive the due date in an email.

• Renewals
  Your books will automatically renew one time on the first due date. After that, you can log into My Checked-Out Items to see your checked-out books and request additional renewals.

The Lamar Memorial Library provides borrowing services that allow students, faculty, and staff to check out books, reserve materials, reference books, and DVDs to support their academic and research needs. Loan periods vary based on item type and borrower status, with renewal options available for most materials.

Date Due Notifications 

• Date due notifications and overdue notices are sent via Maryville College e-mail. For assistance with renewals or questions regarding your library account, please email the Collection Management Librarian or ask@maryvillecollege.libanswers.com 
• The Lamar Memorial Library does not charge late fees; however, we ask that borrowers keep their library account current by returning or renewing materials by the date they are due.  Borrowers whose materials are NOT overdue can renew their books online by linking to My Checked-Out Items.
• For items that are lost or damaged, please refer to the Overdue Materials Policy.
