Following a vision of diversity for the 21st century, the Gay-Straight Alliance is a student organization that comes together to provide a welcoming, supportive, and respectful environment that encourages dialogue about issues of gender and human sexuality among the Maryville College community.
Campus Pride represents the only national nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization for student leaders and campus groups working to create a safer college environment for LGBT students. The organization is a volunteer-driven network "for" and "by" student leaders. The primary objective of Campus Pride is to develop necessary resources, programs and services to support LGBT and ally students on college campuses across the United States.
The combined vision and mission of the Consortium is to achieve higher education environments in which lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender students, faculty, staff, administrators, and alumni have equity in every respect. Our goals are to support colleagues and develop curriculum to professionally enhance this work; to seek climate improvement on campuses; and to advocate for policy change, program development, and establishment of LGBT Office/Centers.
The National Gay and Lesbian Task Force publishes reports and research on a variety of topics related to the LGBTQ community including information related to anti-gay industry, campus issues, faith, hate crimes, marriage, parenting/family, transgender issues, and youth.
Pellissippi Pride is a gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, queer, curious, open-minded and accepting student organization for Pellissippi State Technical Community College in Knoxville, Tennessee. The club's current mission is to offer unity, resources and support in educational, political and social events. Our participation policy is mutual respect.
